BSc Honours Degree in Sports Coaching

 At Forest Sports Education, we also run a full honours degree in sports coaching. The course we offer is unique for a number of reasons. The first is that the course is split over three seperate years meaning you can 'get of the train' at the end of each year and still gain a recognised qualification. This could be particularly useful as you never know what circumstances may change for you in the future! Having the security of knowing that you will still gain a recognised qualification is vitally important to some of our learners. For the first year, you will study a Higher National Certificate in Sport and Exercise Science; in year two, you will study a Higher National Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science; and finally in year three you will complete your fully certified BSc Degree in Sports Coaching. 

The second thing that is unique about our degree programme is the fact that you could be offered paid work experience so that 'you earn as you learn.' We are partnered with a local coaching company 'ProStars' and many of our learners have the opportunity to gain paid coaching experience in a number of different Primary Schools. ProStars is the biggest coaching company in the Forest of Dean and our learners will have the opportunity to gain training from expert coaches in their field. Many of our students gain full time jobs with ProStars as a result!

The final and most important aspect which makes our courses unique is the fact that you are more than a number to us. At Forest Sports Education we deliberately keep our class sizes small so that you have the opportunity to have more access to our expert teachers. Our staff want to ensure that you progress in all areas as a student, not just academically. Our staff take great pride in seeing our students grow over the course of the three years. You will gain much more than just a qualification with us. We will help you become more employable, enhance your skills and develop you as a person!
