FSE 6 game unbeaten run ended
Monmouth Boys School 4 - 2 Forest Sports Education
Unfortunetely, Forest Sports Education's 6 game unbeaten run has been ended as a result of a defeat to Monmouth Boys School. However, an incredible display and character was shown by the lads today. Before the game, FSE had been dealt injury blows and avaliabilty issues meaning we only travelled with 12. After 5 minutes our top goalscorer Kyle Taylor went off with an injured hamstring meaning we only had the bare 11. However, our boys battled on as they always do and ended the first half strongly with Andrew Beames putting us ahead. The second half, FSE were dealt more injury blows as several of our players had to carry on with cramps and knocks. The staff at FSE were extremly proud of how our players battled on against a very good Monmouth team. The game was tight until the last 10 minutes where Monmouth scored 3 goals as FSE ran out of steam.
Man of the Match today goes to Scott Edmonds who was absolutely outstanding in defence but in truth every FSE player did the College proud. Also, well done to Andrew Beames who scored both of FSE's goals.
We roll onto next week where we take on Crypt School!
Goals: Andrew Beames (x2)
MOM: Scott Edmonds
